Contributor Biography

Jennifer Novotny is a Research Assistant in History at the University of Glasgow. Her research project ‘They Don’t Want Your Charity – They Demand their Chance’ was funded by the Wellcome Trust and examined the vocational training workshops for limbless sailors and soldiers developed at Erskine hospital during WWI. She is a member of the University of Glasgow’s WWI Commemoration Group, the AHRC Voices of War and Peace research network, as well as the Glasgow University Medical Humanities Research Network.
